Script writers of accountability drama deserve to be congratulated: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Addressing an Iftar dinner hosted by him in the honour of the leaders of the opposition parties here in Lahore, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that no party or an individual alone can fight the forces of evil. He said that there is a dire need for all political parties and the people to get united for this purpose. He said that every drama has a producer, script writer, and director who make sure that it should look as close to reality as possible. He said that the people are taking the drama being enacted in the name of accountability for real, adding that the directors and the script writers deserve to be congratulated for that.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the JIT is saying at the top of its voice that the record is being tampered with and if the be the case who should one look up to for justice. He said that he holds a different opinion on the drama in the name of accountability. He said that it is prayer that the outcome should be different from his opinion but added in the same breath that his prayer does not seem to be getting granted.
The Iftar dinner was attended by Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, Liaqat Baloch, Mian Manzoor Wattoo, Raza Haroon, Ch. Sarwar, Mian Imran Masood, Dr Amjad, Riaz Fatyana, Sardar Aseff Ahmad Ali, Naveed Ch., Fayyaz Warraich, and Ch Basharat Jaspal. PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur conducted the proceedings of the iftar dinner.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that 124 people were declared as accused in the Model Town case. He said that we are attending all hearings but the main accused have yet to present themselves before the anti-terrorism court, adding that there is no one to ask them. He said that it is the alliance and unity between the political parties and the people that will end the oppression and exploitation. He said that the constitution and the state come into being for the protection of the rights of the people.
Speaking in the Iftar dinner, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said that one JIT is of political nature and another JIT will also be formed that will hand down the convictions. He warned those who have been threatening the JIT of 200 people, should know that when Z.A. Bhutto was hanged, not even a sparrow sputtered her wing. He said that law will be respected and their political coffin will be taken out of the Supreme Court. He said that time has come for the political parties to decide whether they want to support the oppressors or to be on the side of 200 million people.
Jamaat-i-Islami leader Liaqat Baloch said on the occasion that dissention and lack of unity within the opposition parties encourages the rulers to go on the rampage. He asked the opposition to come on the same page.
PTI leader Chaudhry Sarwar said that we will continue to support PAT and Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri on the demand of justice for the martyrs of Model Town tragedy. Senior PPP leader Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo said that the end of those who committed oppression in Model Town is nearing. He said that it is the truth which will be victor in the end. He said that he can see the curtain falling on the days of the Sharifs in power.
Raza Haroon thanked Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for inviting the political leaders on Iftar dinner. He said that we continue to thirst for clean drinking water, adding that conditions of Karachi are worse than Lahore’s.
